HARPER COURT ARTS COUNCIL GRANT TO South East Chicago Commission STRENGTHENS AND BROADENS COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATIONS

The SECC is excited to announced a new partnership with Harper Court Arts Council to strengthen existing and broaden community partnerships and collaborations through partnerships in hosting/planning programs, festivals and the HUGE success of programs and initiatives of SSA#61-Downtown Hyde Park

The Harper Court Arts Council funding will enable the SECC to cover administrative and program costs to expand work with local small businesses to promote economic development and support several community initiatives to enhance the quality of life for residents.  The SECC works diligently to deliver high quality programs, initiatives, events and engagements that improve the places and spaces we live, learn, work, and play. 

The Harper Court Arts Council is a private grant making 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to supporting the arts and community development in Hyde Park and Kenwood. To date, the Arts Council has made grants totaling more than $1.28 million to 36 organizations located or operating within Hyde Park-Kenwood. Particular focus is placed on projects that enhance cultural programming and services for children and youth or stimulate economic development and community diversity.
