Enroll Now in October 2013 BPI Building Analyst Certification Classes

North Branch Works, a long-standing Chicago non-profit economic and workforce development agency, is teaming up with The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity’s Urban Weather Initiative to provide training and testing for the Building Performance Institute’s (BPI) Building Analyst (BA) Certification. As the entry-level credential for home energy auditors, BPI BA Certification can improve a worker’s employability and help expand a company’s business services to its customers.

RECRUITMENT IS UNDERWAY NOW for classes starting in October 2013.

This course is offered to under- and unemployed individuals FREE of charge, while it can cost up to $2,500 elsewhere.

Trainees will receive a $150 stipend over the course of the six week training, a $100 bonus upon certification, and public transportation assistance as needed.

A FAST-TRACK class is available for contractors and other more experienced individuals.

Past graduates have obtained jobs as home energy auditors with CEDA, eZing and Parliament Builders; and current students are already interviewing with local energy efficiency contractors.
