Green Health Neighborhoods Approved by City

GHN plan. Chicago's Green Healthy Neighborhoods plan was approved by the City Plan Commission yesterday. The plan -- developed for the neighborhoods of Englewood, Washington Park, and Woodlawn by the City's Department of Planning and Development through CMAP's Local Technical Assistance program with support from LISC/Chicago, Teamwork Englewood, the South East Chicago Commission, and Washington Park Consortium -- includes a Large Lot program that allows homeowners, block clubs, and nonprofit groups in Englewood to buy City-owned land for $1 per parcel

Searching for Parking at Harper Court

There is a surface lot on the West side of Harper Ave—right across the street from Harper Court that has 50 parking spaces. There is parking available on the Harper Court private drive, the interior street in the middle of the property which can accommodate about 20 cars in the form of pay box parking and a 15 minute loading zone. Additionally, Harper Court also has a public parking garage on Lake Park Avenue between 53rd street and 52nd street—there are two levels of parking with over 220 spaces available.
