On the Table

As a kickoff to The Chicago Community Trust’s Centennial, On the Table 2016 begins a yearlong campaign to celebrate everyday philanthropists – people like you, committed to doing great things to improve our community.

Join thousands of Chicagoland residents on Tuesday, May 10, to talk about how we can help unite the place we call home. In today’s world, this act of coming together has never been more important. On the Table 2016 will connect individuals and communities of diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Talking – and listening – to our neighbors is an important first step toward creating a more unified Chicagoland region.

The Trust has been a great community partner with the South East Chicago Commission (SECC) over the past two years.  The SECC was very fortunate to receive funding for our Green Healthy Neighborhoods in Action program which was hugely successful for our mid-South communities.

With a joint commitment to civic engagement, the SECC will collaborate with the Trust to proudly host On the Table community discussions on Tuesday May 10, 2016

  • Join us for this community-wide conversation to discuss the ways in which we can commit to continue to make our communities stronger, safer and more dynamic.

Every one of us has the power to make our communities great. It simply takes commitment. Together we have the power to make our region thrive.  For more information, visit
