The Annual Woodlawn Community Summit

The Woodlawn Community Summit is a progressive initiative that drives the collaboration of neighbors, youth groups, elected leaders, business owners, and community stakeholders to promote the comprehensive growth and well-being of the Woodlawn community.


The 8th Annual Woodlawn Community Summit identifies one united plan for community development.

Hosted by the residents of Woodlawn and sponsored by The South East Chicago Commission, the 8th Annual Woodlawn Community Summit: What's Going On will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, Chicago, IL.

The Woodlawn Community Summit is hosted by the residents of Woodlawn and sponsored by the South East Chicago Commission with support from the Chicago Community Trust, Obama Foundation, the City of Chicago Alderman Willie B. Cochran – 20th Ward and Alderman Leslie A. Hairston – 5th Ward, Preservation of Affordable Housing, Arthur M. Brazier Foundation, Northwestern Medicine, Cooper's Hawk, CEI Media GroupUniversity of Chicago Office of Civic Engagement, and the City of Chicago Police Department and CAPS, 3rd district.
