The Annual Woodlawn Community Summit

The Woodlawn Community Summit is a progressive initiative that drives the collaboration of neighbors, youth groups, elected leaders, business owners, and community stakeholders to promote the comprehensive growth and well-being of the Woodlawn community.

The 9th Annual Woodlawn Community Summit identifies one united plan for community development.

Hosted by the residents of Woodlawn and sponsored by The South East Chicago Commission, the 9th Annual Woodlawn Community Summit: A New Urban Mosaic will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, Chicago, IL. With the goal to carve one path to a vibrant community, this Summit will convene residents, stakeholders and planners for a united vision of the community.

The Woodlawn Community Summit is hosted by the residents of Woodlawn. The 2018 sponsors are the University of Chicago Office of Civic Engagement, Skender Foundation, Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH), Northwestern Medicine, University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, Jewel-Osco, HDR, Inc., Landon Bone Baker Architects, Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS), PNC Bank, Chicago Community Loan Fund, DL3 Realty, CEI Media Group, Metropolitan Planning Council, Bon Appetit, LISC Chicago and Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant.
