Harper Court Arts Council and South East Chicago Commission Renew Community Partnerships to Impact Collaboration and Capacity Building

The South East Chicago Commission (SECC) is proud to announce a renewed collaboration with Harper Court Arts Council to strengthen and broaden existing community partnerships. The collaboration reaffirms join efforts for capacity building to host and plan programs, festivals and initiatives including joint projects with SSA#61-Downtown Hyde Park.

Funding from the Harper Court Arts Council enables the SECC to expand work with local small businesses, promote economic development and support several community initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents. The SECC works diligently to deliver high quality programs, initiatives, events and engagements that improve the places and spaces we live, learn, work, and play.

The Harper Court Arts Council is a private grant making 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to supporting the arts and community development in Hyde Park and Kenwood. To date, the Arts Council has made grants totaling more than $1.28 million to 36 organizations located or operating within Hyde Park-Kenwood. Particular focus is placed on projects that enhance cultural programming and services for children and youth or stimulate economic development and community diversity.
