SECC Invites You to a Night at the Theatre

SECC Invites You to a Night at the Theatre

You are invited! This year SECC celebrates its 70th anniversary with “A Night at the Theatre” featuring an elegant reception followed by the Court Theatre’s opening night performance of August Wilson’s Two Trains Running. Ticket sales and donations support the 20th annual Neighborhood Enhancement Grant beautification projects in Hyde Park, Kenwood, Oakland, Washington Park and Woodlawn communities.

Court Theatre’s presentation of August Wilson’s Two Trains Running explores Black identity in the 1960s with passion and humor, demonstrating why Wilson is one of America’s most essential voices. With his singular point of view, Resident Artist Ron OJ Parson directs the penultimate play in Court’s ongoing commitment to staging all of Wilson’s American Century Cycle.
